Learn Japanese Through Native Nuance
These are not grammar lessons. Sumire learned Japanese as a native speaker, not as a second-language learner, so she does not teach grammar rules or explain why a word ending changes. If that is what you are looking for, these lessons are not the right fit.
Instead, her lessons focus on the scenes where expressions are actually used, the images native speakers associate with them, and the nuance behind each word. For learners who have studied from grammar, this is what makes everything connect: how the language really unfolds in everyday life, and the shared knowledge a native speaker carries when living in Japan.
Born and raised in Japan, Sumire grew up in a family that welcomed international students studying Japanese. Those experiences introduced her to the differences, misunderstandings and questions learners often encounter.
